The bad financial news for Tiger Woods is that his endorsements this year will pay $22 million less than last year, according to Sports Illustrated's annual analysis of the 50 highest-earning U.S. athletes.
But the good news for Woods is that he still tops the list for a seventh consecutive year, with estimated total earnings of more than $90 million.
Two years ago he was believed to have earned nearly $128 million, but that was before he lost sponsorship deals with Gatorade, Accenture and AT&T.
Phil Mickelson is in Tiger's shadow as the No. 2 earner in sports with $61 million, including endorsement income of $52 million.
The rest of the top 10 are Floyd Mayweather Jr., LeBron James, Alex Rodriguez, Shaquille O'Neal, Kobe Bryant, Derek Jeter, Peyton Manning and Dwyane Wade.
The Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 video game also has flopped so far. Industry analysts say sales are off by 32% compared to last year's version.
