What word best describes both LeBron and Floyd? Well, before we get into a conclusion, let’s review what just happened this year for both of these celebrated sports gods and how they created different reactions after they made the best or maybe worst decisions in their careers.
Let’s start with Mayweather who refused to fight Pacquiao. Floyd kept making excuses not to fight and Pacman’s corner kept their patience until just recently. What could be a Megafight now seems to be just a fantasy and fans from all over the world are just disappointed. What’s good is that Floyd can still keep his record clean. What’s bad is that he will be remembered forever as one of boxing’s greatest cowards and I doubt if his flawless record can make up for it. No way.
Now, before Mayweather reacts to this blog and changes his mind, let’s dope our minds now with LeBron substance. (Man, this is tough.) His talents just took a flight from Cleveland to Miami and hopefully Karma is not on the same plane as well. Anyway, before we get spiritual here, let’s imagine if King James just stayed with the Cavs. Is it really impossible for him to win a championship? Is it too difficult for him to lead a team? One of my friends posted something on Facebook about how he felt for LeBron’s betrayal. Here it goes:
“Lebron James will never win a championship! His act of joining forces with Wade and Bosh is a cowardly act,an act of distrust in his own exceptional abilities. Considering his physical gifts and tremendous talent,he should have believed that he as a leader could lead a team to a championship and not need superstars lik…e him to play with him side by side in one team in order for his dream to materialize.”
Man, that was heavy. He’s got a point though. Coming from a Celtics fan, I think he is just disappointed that LeBron didn’t go to Boston. Hehe. Peace. On the lighter side, this is still good because it’s always exciting to see Kobe, LeBron, and Wade in the NBA finals next season. Miami obviously is happy about this acquisition while Cleveland is flat-out disappointed.
Unfortunately, as much as I would like to comment more, I got to go and must quickly wrap this up. Now, what word do you think best describes both Mayweather and James?
Disappointment.
