After his win over Oscar De La Hoya and Ricky Hatton, Forbes magazine ranked Mayweather "Number 14" as the Biggest Celebrity Paydays of 2007.[97]

On 22 June 2010 Floyd Mayweather was ranked "Number 31" on Forbes Magazine as the most richest and most powerful celebrity. Mayweather however earned the second most out of any athlete on the list, falling just behind Tiger Woods with earnings of $65 million in 2010. Ranked ahead of Mayweather on the list was Tiger Woods, Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan, Lebron James and Roger Federer. Mayweather was ranked a good deal ahead of fellow boxer Manny Pacquiao, Pacquiao was ranked "Number 55" by Forbes magazine with earnings of $42 million.[98][99]

Forbes Magazine ranked Mayweather "Number 2" as the most richest and powerful sports athlete in the world, with earnings of $65 million ($65,000,000,00) ranked ahead of Mayweather is Tiger Woods with earnings of $105 million. Ranked below Mayweather and taking the third spot is Michael Jordan with earnings of $55 million, followed by Kobe Bryant taking the fourth spot with $48 million, Golfer Phil Mickelson took the fifth spot with $46 million, while David Beckham settled in at sixth spot with $44 million, LeBron James and Roger Federer both tied in at seventh place with $43 million in total revenues each.[100]

In 2007 Mayweather was involved in a commercial advertising for AT&T alongside Bill Curtis[101]

He was also named Best Fighter ESPY Award 2007 and 2008, in 2007 he beat fellow boxers Miguel Cotto, Manny Pacquiao and mixed martial arts fighters Randy Couture and Quinton Jackson who were all runners up. And in 2008 he beat fellow boxers Joe Calzaghe, Kelly Pavlik, female boxer Holly Holm and mixed martial arts fighter Georges St. Pierre. On 14th July 2010 he was named Best Fighter ESPY Award 2010, beating fellow boxer Manny Pacquiao and Mixed martial Arts fighter Georges St. Pierre who were runners up. Making Floyd the Third boxer to capture the "ESPY" best fighter awards three times, the others are Evander Holyfield and Roy Jones Jr.[102]

Mayweather is currently sponsored by Reebok, Before his upcoming bout with Shane Mosley Mayweather was seen wearing Reebok ZigTechs, a very popular brand of training shoes worn by athletes. Reebok stated that "Floyd’s preparation has been incredible and these shoes are helping him train longer, harder, and faster to be in the best shape he can be in for this fight.”[103][104]"Sugar" Shane Mosley, UK's Lewis Hamilton, FC Barcelona and France striker Thierry Henry (then playing for Arsenal) and Bangladeshi professional cricketer Mohammed Ashraful all endorse Reebok.

On 5 July 2010 Mayweather opened his gym in Las Vegas to campers for the start of Mayweather Boxing Club Summer Camp. It is a three session program held over six weeks, it was hosted free of charge by Floyd Mayweather Jr Foundation. Each of the campers, 150 boys and girls in total ages 5–18 from Las Vegas and around the country, They will receive instructions on boxing skills, such as floor exercise, shadow boxing, and work on speed bags and heavy bags. The camp will take place in an environment where hard work, dedication, responsibility, integrity and the importance of education are promoted in conjunction with the basic boxing skills. In addition to support received from "Mayweather Promotions", The Mayweather Boxing Club Summer Camp is sponsored Reebok, Everlast and H2O Over Drive. Reebok And Everlast will provide boxing gear and equipments, and H2O Over Drive will provide energy drinks and water bottles for each camper, who will also be served a daily snack. Mayweather him self stated that "Without boxing, I would not be where I am today," continued Mayweather. "To be able to give these kids a chance to learn about this sport is exciting for me. This camp is just another step for the Foundation to continue to make an impact on youth locally and nationally."[105]

As a popular figure around the world Floyd Mayweather Jr has appeared on numerous magazines including: RIDES Magazine,[106] Interview Magazine,[107][108] DUB Magazine,[109][110] Black Press Magazine,[111] AQ New Athletes magazine[112] and also The Ring Magazine[113]

Before Mayweather's clash with Mexican boxer Juan Manuel Marquez they both held international media tour, on 22 May 2009 Mayweather did an afternoon public workout (open to the public) in East London Canning street, Peacock Gym. It was estimated that over six thousand people turned up to see Mayweather alongside Sky Sports with live coverage of the Future Hall of fame inductee and possibly one of the "greatest boxers of all times".[114] Mayweather Fans in the UK are very vocal during there support, There main chant is a modified version of the popular Christmas song "Winter Wonderland" with the lyrics changed to promote Mayweather.[115]

Mayweather received boxing awards from Sports illustrated the first was "Hottest Feud:" Between Mayweather and Bob Arum back in 2007 Mayweather left Top Rank because he accused Bob Arum of underpaying him and under-promoting him, the second was "worst meltdown" between "The Mayweather's and Judah's:" Mayweather was dominating Zab Judah when Judah threw a low blow and a shot to the back of the head, promting Mayweather's uncle and trainer Roger Mayweather to enter the ring and confront Judah and evenually choking him. and the Third was "Best Innovation:" HBO 24/7, this was the first ever edition of HBO 24/7 the series features behind the scene footage from the opposing boxers camp leading up to a mega bout.[117]
