Floyd Mayweather, Jr Beats Manny Pacquiao in Forbes Richest Athletes List

Fighter of the Decade Manny Pacquiao lost to Floyd Mayweather, Jr in Forbes list of world richest athletes according to the latest rankings released by Forbes Magazine.

In the rankings, Forbes placed Mayweather as the second richest athlete in the world with $65 million while Tiger woods was declared the richest with a total revenue of $105 million.

Manny Pacquiao was ranked eighth with with a total revenue of $42 million among 18 athletes who made it in the list.

The third richest athlete is Michael Jordan, with $55 million in total earnings, followed by Kobe Bryant, who was ranked fourth with $48 million.

Phil Mickelson took the fifth spot with $46 million, while David Beckham settled at sixth spot with $44 million

LeBron James and Roger Federer were tied at seventh place both with $43 million in total revenues each.

Making it to the ninth place are Cristiano Ronaldo and Alex Rodriguez, who were tied with $36 million income each.

Shaquille O'neal made $31 million at 10th place while Derek Jeter took the 11th spot with $30 million.

Maria Sharapova was ranked 12th with $25 million income.

Serena Williams and Lance Armstrong were tied at 13th place with total earnings of $20 million each.

Venus Williams made $15.5 million and took the 14th spot while the last spot went to Danica Patrick with at total income of $12 million.

Of the 18 athletes who made it to the list of 100 richest celebrities of the world for 2010, five athletes were in basketball, four in tennis, two in golf, two in boxing, and the rest were in soccer, cycling, and baseball
